Our purpose is to make Conflict Resolution Skilling accessible to business, government, educators, professionals, community organisations and private individuals in their own local communities.
Mediation is increasingly becoming a sought after skill in the workplace and therefore highly regarded by employers to identify potential employees with negotiation, communication and dispute resolution skills.
Inclusion of Mediation as a preferred mode of dispute resolution is also becoming increasingly incorporated in State and Commonwealth legislation (eg Family Law, Workplace Disputes) with the emphasis in moving disputes away from adversarial processes and into more collaborative systems.
The Certificate IV in Mediation is a nationally recognised qualification as part of the Vocational Education Training (VET) system. The course is designed to support the practice of Mediation and Co-Mediation across a broad range of government and private sectors including various industries, agencies, and community groups. It involves the completion of 15 units, 7 of them directly about the process of Mediation and 8 others that relate to the environmental factors that affect conflict and mediation and how people operate as effective practitioners in the workplace.
