Welcome to the Stirling East Primary School. My name is Sheilla Saville and I am the Chair of the SEPS Governing Council for 2012.
Being part of the Governing Council has given me a greater appreciation of the huge amount of work that is done - often unseen – by both the teaching staff and family volunteers from within the school community. Stirling East has many dedicated and committed members of the school community who contribute regularly in many different ways – this includes helping with reading in their child's classroom, assisting with class excursions, volunteering in the canteen or uniform shop through to undertaking fundraising activities. This commitment and ongoing involvement provides a positive and inclusive school environment for our children.
One of the key roles of the Governing Council is to provide a voice for the parents and the wider school community. This is done by recognising and incorporating, where possible, student, parent and community input into the broader direction of the school and through working collaboratively with the principal and staff.
