Education WAÂ introduces Edney Primary School in High Wycombe, for all your education and learning needs.
Edney Primary School was built in 1989 and officially opened by the then Minister for Education Dr Carmen Lawrence on December 8th, 1989. The foundation principal was Mr Vin Marelich and during that year a time capsule including a contribution from every child was set down. The time capsule is to be opened at the 25th anniversary of the school. Additional teaching blocks were added as enrolments grew and in the year 1999 enrolment peaked at 624 students from Kindergarten to Year 7. An active P&C Association has been a consistent supporter of the school and a School Council was established in 1992.
As part of the Federal Government’s stimulus packages following the 2010 Global Financial Crisis, Edney received funding which heralded a building program enabling the addition of a purpose built, five room Early Childhood Centre, as a project enclosing and updating the under-cover area, new carpets and painting of some classrooms.
Welcome to Edney Primary School one of the popular educators in your High Wycombe area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
